The path follows the old miller’s trail, i.e. the route the miller took every day to regulate the water supply to the mill by the outlet of lake Björken. After around one kilometre are the ruins of an old cottage, Smedstorp, from the early 1900’s and not far from there is an glade with the Månbacken overnight cottages (can be booked for overnight by Nynäs manor).

The path continues to lake Björken with good water for swimming. On the shore is an unusual flat rock of unevenly weathered marble. After a short walk along the lake you come to an overnight shelter, and a brick-built fire-place on a nearby rock. Lovely views over the lake.

The path then alternates through rocky areas and forest of varying stages of maturity to lake Gisesjön where it is possible to swim.

The path follows the shore to the ”Islet Peninsula” where it turns towards the old main road to Trosa. Follow the road for approx. 1,5 km around Gisekvarn village of summer cottages.

There are several places with parking possibility, e.g. Karlfors kvarn (mill), Månbacken cottages, Lake Gisesjön, Gisekvarn recycling place.
