The path continues north and arounds the nearly 3 km long Lake Muskan. You follow it’s eastern shore to the northern end, where there is a shelter and a beach. Across the lake, you can get a glimpse of the large farm Körunda, dating back to the Middle Ages.
Following the path away from Lake Muskan you pass the boatswain Sjötäppan before arrivning to a varied forest area close to Segersäng railway station. Passing the small Lake Tärnan, the path finds its way along old parish boundaries. If you are observant you will notice the many boundary markers.
700 metres west of the route is the mountain Borgsberget with its ancient stronghold. It is well worth the effort to make a detour to the top and for a moment reflect on our ancient ancestors who had to protect themselves against aggressive intruders.´
The area is full of wetlands and has a rich bird life. Along the path, you may see some of the birds of prey that nest here.
In case you start your hike from Hemfosa, there is parking space for 6-8 cars.
