Part of section 34 + forest road, approx. 6 km

From Jönåker, west of Nyköping, drive towards “Arkösund” for approx. 13 km, and then turn right towards “Vrångsjö 5”. Parking GPS: N 58°41.188' E 016°34.815'

Fjällmossen is one of southern Sweden’s largest mire complexes. In total, there are approx. 480 hectares of wetland, around half of which are located in the county of Södermanland. The southern part of the bog is in the county of Östergötland.

This is an easy circular route which rounds the south-eastern part of Fjällmossen Nature Reserve. Walking to the north (anticlockwise) towards the little lake Lilla Göljen you reach two popular wind shelters after approx. 2 km. Continue along the well-trodden and planked trail across the bog until you come to a forest road. Turn left and follow the road back to the parking area.

N.B. If you want to walk the circular route, be careful to follow the Sörmlandsleden markings. Other paths in the area have been established by Östergötland County Administrative Board.
