Vittenberga - Svärta

Section 47, 6 km

You meet young forest and a large clearing, and frequently roe deer and moose if you walk quietly. At Vreta the landscape opens up again and you reach the ”Singing Stones” which is a park and a private homage to Swedish  spiritual songs. Twelve erected granite blocks inscribed with 24 well-loved hymns and revivalist songs, and a labyrinth that briefly describes Swedish church history. Thereafter you walk into Svärta parish with a typical Sörmland landscape dominated by large farms with surrounding coniferous forest.

Section start: 100 metres south of the road fork to Vittenberga.
